About me:
I began my career in child welfare, where I quickly discovered my professional purpose: helping children and families navigate trauma, strengthen relationships, and build lasting resilience. From the start, I was drawn to supporting families during their most vulnerable and overwhelming moments—times when guidance, stability, and understanding matter deeply.
My early work was rooted in evidence‑based, trauma‑informed care. As part of the Sanctuary Model leadership team, I helped integrate trauma‑responsive principles into agency culture and practice. I also completed advanced studies and Capstones in Attachment Disorders and Family Engagement, and became a certified member of Georgetown University’s Juvenile Justice Reform Network. These experiences shaped my approach to repairing disrupted parent‑child relationships and supporting families impacted by separation, divorce, and court‑involved placement.
I have extensive experience assessing children and families and making placement recommendations to Suffolk and Nassau County Family Courts. I have also served on CSE (Committee on Special Education) teams, collaborating with Long Island school districts to determine appropriate educational placements and supports.
Throughout my clinical training and early practice, I worked closely with individuals to process trauma, understand the connection between their emotions and behaviors, and develop practical, sustainable coping skills. These years allowed me to deepen my trauma‑informed, attachment‑based, and strengths‑focused approach. I supported clients through anxiety, depression, family conflict, and the long‑term impact of trauma, providing a steady, compassionate space where they could explore their experiences and begin to rebuild a sense of safety and stability.
This combination of child‑welfare expertise and clinical experience allows me to guide clients through complex systems with clarity and compassion. I have worked with individuals who have endured severe trauma and have supported them in building safer, more stable, and fulfilling lives.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through connection. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can build insight, develop coping skills, and move toward greater emotional well‑being and stability.
